"...do you belong to me, or do I belong to you?"
The Sanctus Real lyrics run through my head every day and as I am in a constant progress of relying less on my heart and emotions and more on my faith my meta-cognative rambles help in the process-I hope.
Quote of the Moment
"All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen."
Without being political about this, because that's just a big can of worms that really isn't worth hatching out this early on....
It is simply wonderful that a female is going to vie for the presidency. Whether enough people in this country are ready for this or not, it is a good thing - win or lose. It's only going to open doors for women in the future...just as Obama and that Hispanic guy (oops, can't remember his name) will open doors for minorities.
My thoughts exactly. The fact that our country is even having this conversation (about females, African Americans and Hispanics) is so exciting. I do not like to get political either and I was crossing my fingers that the discussion that would come out of this post would be about America crying out for/accepting a wider "applicant pool". Thanks
I think it's one thing if our country is ready for it, but you can't convince me that the rest of the world (namely the middle eastern countries) are prepared to deal with a female U.S. force.
i think that if Hilary ran for president, and was the best candidate and won, it would be a miracle. i could see it going really strongly one way or the other, but my sense is that it won't happen this time around.
Roonie, I'd hope you'd rather join my main man Barack's campaign. He's the best candidate on either side. He's also the best public speaker I've ever seen in my life. Awesome guy.
Plus, the only reason I'd vote for Hillary is to get Slick Willie back in office. He'd really be running the show.

It is a step forward for women, though.
(Personally, I can't stand her.)
I don't follow politics too much, however I think that C.Rice is pretty well accepted around the globe...which makes me believe that it is possible.
I can't wait to join her campaign in California. I always said I would join if she decided to run. She upheld her end of the bargain, and SO WILL I!

OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA!
