The death of my old self?

My friend Sarah posted this fun site on her blog so I decided to try it. When I put in my married name it came up with 2. There is officially one other person with my name in America, which made me sort of sad; I really thought I was an original.

What really made me frown was when I put in my maiden name. A big fat 0! It certainly is the death of my old non-married self. I know they change your name with social security and all but it was very surreal to have a big fat "0" come up, no one exists with the name I went by for 26 years. Weird.

How many have your name?

I got one of me with just my married name. 52 with my maiden name (I know there is a skateboarder, too). None with a combination of my names, which is what my passport and SS card say.

4 of my husband, but none of my dad, and he is a JR (with a very odd first name).

At least there weren't 1,538 of you out there, LOL. I could start my own community with as many of us as there are out there. Jennville, population 5,626 (that includes family). I think I will move there soon.

There are zero of me. And, as far as I know, I still exist.

Yes, I am pretty sure that this search may be a bit off. Roonie, this issue of there being zero yous brings up quite a discussion on existentialism. Have fun with that, I am very happy you exist. Wrestling Kitties, I honestly always felt like there were 2,000 of me. In high school I went by my last name because I graduated with what felt like 10 people who shared my name.

Lady S, thanks for the comment.

No matter who you marry, you'll always be [insert your maiden name here] to me!

Don't be too sad about the 0. I typed in my CURRENT name and got 0. So, at least for you it's the old Keather that does not exist. For me, I do not currently exist at all (nor will I when I get married) - both last names are simply too uncommon to register. Now that's sad. :(
