I sadly wasted about an hour of my life flipping back and forth to the most embarrassing show ever-Celebrity Duets. You have to watch this to believe it, it's truly painful. I kid you not, I covered my eyes when Chris Jericho sang because I felt so horrible for him and Lea Thompson is even worse. Jai Rodriguez from Queer Eye for the Strait Guy is actually pretty good and Hal Sparks is so stinking cute, but seriously-Cheech Marin?
To top it all off the duets with the most elevator music sort of artists, Michael Bolton, Cyndie Lauper, Randy Travis! Come on!!
If you really want to watch a singing competition that blows Celebrity Duets, American Idol or anything else out of the water try Rock Star:Supernova. It is amazing the talent of these people bring to the table and they sing all rock songs. None of the Dion Warwick crap.
My top picks are Magni and Toby, but the competition is pretty solid. The cool thing about this show is that it is international and most of the contestants have either had multi record deals or years and years of experience. It is less of a contest and more about a really competitive audition for a rock band. This show is worth the time. There is an elimination show tonight.

I myself watched Celebrity Duets last night. Of course I was flipping between something else, but I do have to agree with you aobut how bad they were. I think that the new seasons shows should start sooner than they do.

Sort of famous celebrities are paired up with easy listening type singers and they perform duets. Marie Osmond, Little Richard and some record executive guy are the judges. It is like the first few weeks of American Idol but far more embarrassing because these people have "day jobs". This is the most "car wreck" of a reality competition that I have seen yet.
T & I wanted to watch this b/c of Chris Jericho...we are wrestling fans! I guess Chris has a metal/rock band is big in Canada!! haha
I LOVE rock star Supernova! I am pulling for Toby and Dilana! I doubt a girl will win to front a rock band, but how sweet would that be to be a female and lead singer of a group like this - awesome!! One thing I noticed was that I thought some of the songs supernova was previewing sucked. Too popish/mainstream. I hope their CD is different!
I too watched Celebrity Duets, but only long enough to watch Lea Thompson belt out three notes and then I was over it.
However, I'm obsessed with RockStar and am quite sad with last nights results. Ryan was one of my faves! Why not get rid of Lucas??!!! He's annoying!!

I agree with all of you. I really liked Ryan and I pretty much love of all of the singers left-except creepy Lukas. This guy is all Emo-wierd and he makes me uncomfortable. I also wonder at how "popish" Supernova is going to be. I really expected it to be much harder considering the guys...we'll see. As of this moment I think Toby is the most compatable with the personalities of the band. Let's just hope that Lukas is gone next and we never have to discuss Zyira-she was a wierdo.
